Zotero
Zotero is a citation manager that is free of cost. Unlike some of the other resources you'll encounter as an Elon student, Zotero is something you can take with you once you graduate!
Citation managers can help you:
- search for and save sources
- read and annotate what you find
- create citations and bibliographies
Sample Sources
Once you've downloaded and installed the software, we will add some of these sample sources to Zotero. We'll add each one using a different method.

Whichever method you choose for adding sources is your choice. Make sure you take a few seconds to review the entry in your Zotero library! If a source wasn't correctly imported, you could end up with a bibliography full of typos.
