What is a refugee?  What is a migrant?  What is an immigrant?  Though they frequently get lumped together, there are important distinctions between these three groups.  From Merriam-Webster:

Refugee: a person who has been forced to leave a country because of war or for religious or political reasons

Migrant: a person who goes from one place to another especially to find work

Immigrant: a person who comes to a country to live there
