How to find a film

Belk Library has hundreds of DVDs from Spanish-speaking countries, both feature films ("movies") and documentaries. Search the library's catalog below.  You can put in a subject search: "SU:Foreign films Argentina" and then use the check box on the left to limit to "Belk Library" for physical DVDs or "Elon University" for DVDs and streaming video.

Many of our foreign DVDs are in PAL or Zone 2 format.  They cannot be played on US DVD players.  I recommend that you download the VLC player, which allows your computer to play DVDs and Blu-rays in any format. You can also check out an international DVD player from Media Services, and there is one in Carlton 120.

Don't forget Netflix and Amazon Video!  They also have lots of films from all over the world.

Search for information

Search Belk Library's online system to find both library materials and articles in our databases. Use the search box below to do a basic search on library materials and databases.

Find Articles in English and Spanish

Most of these databases let you search in English, but allow you to limit your results to just Spanish articles.
