Creating an Annotated Bibliography with Zotero

You can use Zotero to create an annotated bibliography in APA and Chicago styles.

From the Zotero Style Repository search for annotated and choose one of those two styles. Click to download (on a PC) or find in Downloads and finish downloading (on a Mac).

To create annotations in APA format, type your annotations into the "Abstract" field.

To create annotations in Chicago format, type your annotations into the "Extra" field.

Save all citations to be included in your annotated bibliography in the same collection.

To create the bibliography in Word, right click on the collection in your Zotero library and choose create a bibliography from collection.

Choose the correct annotated citation style and be sure that "Copy to clipboard" is selected, click ok.

Paste into your Word document.
